"You have helped me reach the next level. And here I was starting to think you were just a sadistic psycho bitch."

Its a beautiful Sunday morning; my window is even half way open. Last night went to Kyle's. We watched the Friends ep where they have the quiz for the apartments. That's the only episode i've ever liked of that show. Drank beer and played Balderdash which was pretty fun.

Devils have lost 2 straight, and i worry once more. Belfour shut them out last night, thats gonna leave a mark. Lamierello must get someone before the trade deadline.

Probably going to College's tonight, and maybe hockey with Chester sometime this afternoon. Should be fun.

I've actually gotten a few comments here about CollegeBoy, and requests for more stories, so i'll share the one that gave birth to the CollegeBoy name and phenomena:

A few years back, College, his brothers Matt and Eric and myself were at Hooters. College was hitting on our waitress non-stop the whole time. So we get our check and pay, and i tip the waitress nicely. College doesn't want to be outdone, so he goes to his pockets...and pulls out change. The waitress looks at his quizically, and we start snickering. College tries to smooth it over and tells the waitress, "Ahh, i'm a collegeboy, i have to buy books." Needless to say we laughed all the way home. That with the months that followed, anytime we'd see a girl at a bar or someone we went to highschool with, College would tell outright lies that he was attending Penn State University in State College. So the name stuck, and actually become quite a legend with the Constein family, Hempfield High School and the surrounding area.

"I'm a loser baby, so why don't you kill me"

Fun day today. Went to class and after went to get my check from That Fish Place. That's the last time i'll ever be in that building. Kind of weird...got to say goodbye to some people, Jeff Hickman, and Lauren..whew, i'll never forget her...she looked quite beautiful, someone is going to be very lucky someday.

Later i got to play hockey for the first time in awhile. I skated for awhile and i did pretty good. I picked my spots and hit them more often than not. Later we played a pick up game and i was goalie. I made the stops i shouldn't have, and didnt make the one's i should have. Not bad for a skater....

Finished the night going to the Fairview. Had some beers and talked hockey and baseball with Fries until College showed up. Later Josh stopped by and it was guys night out. We played video golf and trivia. Fun night. But i'm still a loser.

Quote tonight comes from U2:

Unreal

***Yahoo! News-Clear Channel Suspends Stern's Radio Show***

What is this country coming to? I guess we all have Janet Jackson and Justin Timberlake to thank. I listened for a good bit this morning, and i didnt hear anything that was beyond what they usually do. When I was in Canada, they had full frontal nudity on network tv for crying out loud! According to the article, Stern's show isn't going to be back on until they can be assured that the show can "conform to acceptable broadcasting standards." Well that basically will scrap the entire format and essence of the show, unless they move it the evening or late night. Clearchannel or Infiniti should tell the FCC, angry parents, and everyone else to kiss their ass. Unreal.

Onto more delightful matters, the Devils killed the Sabres tonight, 8-2. The Deviled EGG line(what a great line name) was at it again...Elias had 2 goals and three assists, Gomez had 2 more assists, and Gionta added 3 points. Looking good.

Finally, i'll leave you with some Picasso quotes:

"Love is the greatest refreshment in life."

"My mother said to me, 'If you become a soldier, you'll be a general; if you become a monk, you'll end up as the pope.' Instead, I became a painter and wound up as Picasso."

Nothing new. Went to class this morning, then went on a nice run all over the mall to find Midnight Run on DVD. Finally found it at Sam Goody's for $15. Its a great movie with Robert De Niro and Charles Grodin. Check it out, its action-adventure with good comedy.

For now i'm just enjoying a nice little vacation. Haven't had a real one since 2000 when Chester and I went to Toronto. And hockey starts again next month.

Ralph Nader for President

I figured i'll let you know who i'm looking to vote for this November, and since i've never talked politics here before, here you go.

Except for Ed Rendell, i generally dont like Democrats, and i've really soured on George W. Bush, so why not an independent. Nader is something new, and he likes some gun control and giving women the right to choose whether or not to abort pregnancies. So there you go.

Put a silver bullet in my brain.

Sunday was not too bad. Watched Billy Madison and Happy Gilmour all day, then went to Kyle's. Played darts, cards had beer and watched Law and Order Criminal Intent. Then we went to Villa Nova for a few and destroyed mega touch sports quiz show. the thing ran out of questions. Then we got a six pack and went back to the college compound for some NHL Hitz. Just a tip, Coors Light is evil and counterproductive to society.

Devils continued their winning ways, beating Calgary 3-1. Elias is en fuego, 2 more goals, both assisted by Gomez. Those 2 are unreal at the moment, and if they get Sergei Gonchar and Robert Lang from Washington, or Brian Leetch from the Rangers, the goal scoring problems are over and there's no way they are not repeating.

"Here's looking at you kid."

Quite a weird night. I sat around all night watching Cops and reading for school, then goto the Fairview around 1am to have a beer or two while waiting for Kyle to get home from the Village. I was surprised to see Josh and Cindy with Jason and another lady ive never met. So i have 2 beers and grab 2 six packs and i'm on my way to College's, when he text messages me and tells me not to come over. After i spend 20$ in beer that i do not have. So i turn around and on the way back im doing 45 about 20 feet into a 35mph zone and pass a cop of course. So he follows me all the way to about 500 feet from my neighborhood. So, Saturday night was uneventful and a waste of time...except talking to Josh and Cindy.

The Devils got back to their routine ways of killing the Rangers, 7-3. Gomez had 2 goals and 4 assists and Patrik Elias had 2 goals and 2 assists. Great game for our heroes. Plus it was National Hockey Day in Canada...all 6 Canadian teams played each other. I wish i lived there. I guess Labatt Blue will have to due for now.

Well i guess the rest of the night will consist of me drinking these beers that i really didn't need to buy in the first place, since i rarely drink here at home.

Other than that..i'll say hi to Heather and if you're reading...lasagna and i'm smoke free...i'm tired of buying the damn things anyway.

Saturday Morning Live

Its Saturday morning, which i haven't had off from work in ages. I missed it, its just so relaxing. But, I am dissapointed in the lack of good Saturday morning cartoons. There's some kind of japanese anime, a warped new version of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, and.......Sonic the Hedgehog? When i was young, there was Muppet Babies, The Snorks, He-Man, the good Ninja Turtles and Pee Wee's Play house.

Friday was a night at the View. Just Kyle tonight, no Kate. Josh and Cindy came down for a bit. Lost 4 straight games of darts, which is unreal. We really need to find a better place to drink.

Today i get to watch Devils-Rangers and maybe goto the Village tonight. Maybe the mall too.

You won't have Dick Householder to kick around anymore.

Well, i did it. I'm done with That Fish Place. I'm kind of happy, but i'll miss some of the people I worked with. There are a few who i'll never forget as long as I live. I was 18 when i started there, and 5 years is a long time. So now the job search begins and i know a few places where i can get a job pretty easily, i just have to decide i guess.

Took the Modern US History test today and, despite not studying all that much and not reading any of the three required textbooks, I did really well..and I got the extra credit logic puzzle at the end. I'm sort of in to school again, just in time.

Weather was beautiful today...just seemed alot brighter than usual...heh. I can't wait for spring/summer....wearing shorts, no jackets, driving with the windows down...damn groundhog.

MiniSportsBlog: Devils lost to the Capitals!, uncalled for, but Elias got a goal.....Flyers lost to Boston.....Gary Barnett is a real idiot and should be fired outright....RedSox have better pitching than the Yankees....Pitching wins championships....

For the quote, here's something from the greatest President in this nation's history:

"The greatness comes not when things go always good for you. But the greatness comes when you're really tested, when you take some knocks, some disappointments, when sadness comes. Because only if you've been in the deepest valley can you ever know how magnificent it is to be on the highest mountain."--Richard Nixon, farewell address to his White House staff.

Judgement Day

Damn. I've got one of the bigger decisions of my life to make. Do i quit my job, where i've worked for the last half decade, or not. I was the recipient of quite a tounge lashing today, because i asked for a review and raise. Management couldnt believe that i would have the gaul to ask for it, after all they do for me. They question whether or not i appreciate what they do for me (insurance when i work a little over 30 hours), which is kind of ironic when i was asking the same thing of them. Like i said before, its not about money really..cause what is 25 or 50 cents really gonna do for me financially? I just want appreciation and for them to let me know they value what i do there. Realisitically, im one of the better salespeople there, and some people make more than me. And I dont even really care about medical insurance. But its not really about money. Getting yelled at like that just totally blew me away, and i really need to move on i think. Im sure im gonna leave now, just whether or not i can go back in there and work for a day or so while i look for another job. It's a shame that one incident like that can cause me to want to leave somewhere were i really like my co-workers, and have spent a fifth of my life. My hearts just not in it after being treated like that. The big problem is that im not the kind of person that likes a big change like that. I've been there since i was 19 and im now 23, and there's some people there that i'd hate to not know anymore. But what does anyone reading this care about that anyway?

Other than that....Test tomorrow in Modern US History, which i havent even thought about till now after all that other bs.

Thats enough for now.

Another brick in the wall.

Devils tied the Wild tonight, not a good thing but not a bad thing. Points are points.

I really want to see this Mel Gibson movie coming out "The Passion of the Christ." Now i haven't been to church regularly in about 10 years, but this movie looks interesting. It looks like the most talked about and anticipated movie of all time, or something. But i doubt it can knock Casablanca from it's "Favorite Movie of all Time" perch.

My review and subsequent raise is still late. Should have been done on January 10th. It's not really about the money, but i should be making more, I just want some appreciation shown. I'd like for them to show that they value what i do there. But i'm not holding my breath.

I still demand e-mails. Or sign the guestbook. Just tell me how much this thing sucks, so i know youre out there.

More quotes, this time from Bobby "The Brain" Heenan:

Hennan: "Now Virgil is number 22 right?"
Monsoon: "Yeah."
Heenan: "Imagine how bags he's gone through in the back."
Monsoon: "Oh will you stop!"

"A man is never more dangerous than when he's fighting for money or the love of a woman...and I love money."

Or would you like to swing on a star, Carry moonbeams home in a jar, And be better off than you are, Or would you rather be a pig?

Whew...finally put the finishing touches on that 10 page paper tonight..just have to type it from the notebook paper.

Boring day again...just sat around...worked on the paper, and watched tv. Dammit, the week is starting again. It sure sucks to drudge thru every week to make it to the weekend. Not a way to go thru life.

Boy do the Pittsburgh Penguins really suck or what?

I'd like to point out that Dan Constein is a honkey, and he and his brothers owe me about $1,000,000 and if i dont get some respect soon, it's coming out of their hides.

Before I go, I found this song that i remember my dad telling me about when i was young:

Swinging on a Star
Would you like to swing on a star
Carry moonbeams home in a jar
And be better off than you are
Or would you rather be a mule?

A mule is an animal with long funny ears
Kicks up at anything he hears
His back is brawny but his brain is weak
He's just plain stupid with a stubborn streak
And by the way, if you hate to go to school
You may grow up to be a mule

Or would you like to swing on a star
Carry moonbeams home in a jar
And be better off than you are
Or would you rather be a pig?

A pig is an animal with dirt on his face
His shoes are a terrible disgrace
He has no manners when he eats his food
He's fat and lazy and extremely rude
But if you don't care a feather or a fig
You may grow up to be a pig

Or would you like to swing on a star
Carry moonbeams home in a jar
And be better off than you are
Or would you rather be a fish?

A fish won't do anything, but swim in a brook
He can't write his name or read a book
To fool the people is his only thought
And though he's slippery, he still gets caught
But then if that sort of life is what you wish
You may grow up to be a fish
A new kind of jumped-up slippery fish

And all the monkeys aren't in the zoo
Every day you meet quite a few
So you see it's all up to you
You can be better than you are
You could be swingin' on a star

..good stuff.

Turns out i made it to College's with Matt tonight. Labatte Blue while watching the Laci Peterson movie. Matt was in "Eddie Murphy Raw" territory, nearly drawing tears at every turn.

A word on Alex Rodriguez. I'm a Red Sox fan, and it's just par for the course. All that time Boston tried to get him, and it didn't go anywhere, and New York just jumps in and gets him no trouble. Steinbrenner is a fag, and i hope A-Rod tears an ACL on the way to cashing a check in the near future. I hope it blows up in everyone's face and the Yankees miss the playoffs, but we all know they'll win the East over Boston by at least 7 games. But..if New York beats Boston in the playoffs and A-Rod has anything to do with it, i'm done with MLB forever.

"Is this Heaven? It's Iowa. Iowa? Yeah. I could have sworn it was Heaven."

Bo-ring weekend. Friday, went out for a little at the View, got hammered in darts and Kyle was nice and ripped. Didn't do a damn thing Saturday.

Today wasn't too bad, watched the Devils beat L.A. in overtime; Paul Martin got the GW. I also saw The Littles, a corny cartoon about "Little" people that lived inside the walls of some kid's house, I watched when I was younger that I haven't seen in more than 10 years. I could still sing most of the theme song..heh. School work and television should round out the night, unless my life gets spotaneous and cool all of the sudden.

Spent the night at the Fairview.....Dominated the first 2 games of darts, then beaten by Kate...a female....how dare they infringe on a man's game? I kid because i care.

On a personal note (isn't everything a personal note here?) it's pretty demoralizing to want what you can't have.

Devils lost to the Rangers tonite...the RANGERS! They have lost a total of like 2 games to the RANGERS since i was a junior in HIGHSCHOOL! The wheels might be falling off the wagon for our heroes. It's looking like 2002 (6th seed, eliminated by the Hurricanes) all over again. What's up with having a shmozz the year after the Cup (1996, 2002)? I'm guessing they are missing Scott Stevens more than i thought they would.

I sure am using alot of parenthesis in this post

I picked up Monday Night War and Mic Foley's Greatest Hits and Misses today. I wasn't expecting much from MNW, except the "Bret Screwed Bret" interview, but alot from Mic Foley. Turns out the MNW DVD was frigging awesome, at about 90 minutes. They went thru EVERTHING and had every little detail from the Monday Night Wars. Mic Foley did have the awesome street fight from 2000 and Mind Games from 1996. Overall both are really great.

And for those who care (HA! hate life) i got new Bud Light and Malibu boxers...haha.

Inexcusable Devils loss to Philadelphia tonight. I can't wait to hear about it at work tomorrow. Brodeur played like hell, and Scott Stevens is out for the year...it doesn't look good for our heroes.

Bonus: our class got an extension to finish our World to 1500 paper until Tuesday, so i'll put that off again till like monday.

I'd like to thank Rahul for all the linkage over on his site. Check his Blog out, its pretty cool.

For now, i'll leave you all with another Classic CollegeBoy Moment:

College called me up one day asking me to take him to Turkey Hill to get some smokes. We get there and College met someone there, and got some bad news that we won't get into here. College was pissed off and told me to drop him off at the Fairview, and come back and get him later that night. So i get up to the Fairview around 11, and College is plastered. We stayed for awhile and College was really, really drunk..He was punching the bar, asking the waitress to Don's birthday party, calling a lady who stole our jukebox plays a bitch out loud, the usual. So College gets flagged and we leave. Outside the Fairview, College tries to lay a haymaker on a spare tire on the back of Jeep, but misses and hits the metal bracket holding it on, splitting open his hand and bleeding everywhere. So we get to Turkey Hill again. College goes in stumbling over everything. I make small talk with Wolf Man Jack at the counter and i make my way around the cigarette display to see College: fully unzipped, and urinating on the Pringles Chips on the shelf. I, not so sober myself, see this and fall to the floor saying "no way!" repeatedly. College then zips up, we buy our stuff and get the hell out of there. Truly one for Constein grandkids....

Work looms in 7 hours and 1 minute. I hate it.

There was a great commercial i saw at the bar. It was for Bug Light, and there was a sign outside of a bar that said "Bar Golf" and there was a guy hitting golf balls off the top of the bar..then a sign that said "happy hour hide and seek" followed by a shot of an empty bar and a guy peeking his head over the bar...then a sign that said "friday night broom tag" and a shot of a bunch of guys hitting each other with brooms....there might have been more, but i was under the table crying so i might have missed it.

Blah

I finally saw American Wedding this afternoon. It started out pretty lame, and i thought they had run out of stuff after 2 movies, but after about 20 minutes it got pretty funny. A number of laugh out loud moments. I don't know if it can match the first, as that was absolutely friggin hilarious when i saw it in the theater.

Patriots 32, Panthers 29

Wow what a game. It started really sloppy, but got really good by the end. Adam Vinateri just might be the greatest kicker in NFL history, with probably the 4 greatest FG's ever tonight and in 2001. Tom Brady engineers another Super Bowl winning drive, thats 2 in 3 years.

It wasn't close to my 38-16 prediction, but i got Tom Brady as the MVP right. And i did get excited at the end. The commercials were not all that great, but i did like the old guy and old lady fighting over the Lay's Chips...and the dentures at the end was great. Bill Parcells and Jerry Jones singing "Tomorrow, Tomorrow" was funny.

Current TV: Patriots post game.
Current Massachussets Gubneratorial Candidate: Adam Vinateri
